We been seeing way to many does on our place so decided to put one or two in the freezer before MZ season ended. Wife walked to the tree stand at 6:45, looked around and 4 deer were watching her so she froze and waited. About 4 minutes later one mature doe started to walk closer to her. Once it was determined to be a safe shot ( I was walking to our blind) she dropped the doe in her tracks with a double lunger and complete pass thru.
We picked up a scale so we could get an idea of what they weigh and this doe weighed 122 pounds before it was gutted. Doe was plenty fat so she will make some great burger.

I went back in the afternoon and shot this does twin sister. Now we have two hanging up. But with this nice stretch of cooler weather they can hang for a week with no issues.
