I was just reflecting on the past few season and wondered. Why am I more content to muzzle load hunt. I have access to different rifles and even slug guns in different calibers and gauges but I am most fond of the muzzle loaders. Be it the old knight lk with the #11 cap,the traditions buck hunter or the newer cva wolf. I have even caught myself lookin at and considering a left handed percussion long rifle. It is almost sensual the effect that muzzle loaders have on me.

The newer smokeless front stuffers don`t have quite the appeal.

I can't get past the second to last sentence :D

I want to say something more, but I cannot.

Merry Christmas !

I do agree with the OP I leave so many center fires in the safe & continue to grab a ML.

Merry Christmas, Sparky.

Let me know when you break moa at my range...

And I'll show you 1/2 that.

My original comment was to the sexual innuendo of the OP post. Did not ever intend to invite conversations into smokeless vs bp. Delete as necessary.

Well I have been shooting deer with muzzle loaders since the mid 80's when I used a H&R 45 cal to shoot my first button buck.I have only owned CVA guns & have never been let down by them.I have always shot pyrodex & the last few years 777.Now I shoot smokeless & really like it,I will keep carry it till I get a chance to kill something with it.I have killed way more deer with my CVA's & powerbelt bullets than any other method. If I only had a choice to hunt with 1 rifle the rest of my days my Savage11 would be the my pick.
