Why do you bowhunt?

I love bow hunting and several aspects of it, but if there was no separate bow/muz/gun season, I would probably just gun hunt.
The biggest part of bow hunting i like is the lower # of hunters in the woods.
And if there are other bow hunters in the woods, it's not bad because they're generally more serious and cautious hunters. You don't ever see a bow hunter sitting on a bucket 5 ft off a major trail smoking a cigarette.

very true

I guess it's kind of selfish but I like the fewer people in the woods, less pressured deer and the peace and quiet too.

I'm going to sit out archery season this year for the first time in 30 years. I'm still not sure how I will feel about not being in a tree opening morning. The reason why I bowhunted has changed over the years. When I started out bow hunting it was because to kill more deer. Then it turned into just being in the woods earlier in the season. Then later on it turned in to taking mature deer with archery equipment. I very well may never bowhunt in TN again.
