the day before /during and after a fool moon and what kind of deer movement are you seeing

I don't worry about the moon. It was a full moon Sunday night and my dad (who's off all week) seen lots of movement yesterday morning.

i like hunting a full moon. i love walking in by the moonlight. i've killed deer during a full moon. I've never really studied if i saw more or less.

I hunted yesterday (Monday) morning. Saw 2 does at 0802 while in Stand. Got down at 1050 and headed back to truck. While walking back to main road I jumped, what I'd speculate was a 120 inch 8 pt, bedding 15 yards from the road. He ran to a pine thicket across the road so naturally I pursued him. Just off the road I sat watching a 25 acre pasture which borders a huge 200 acre corn field. Within 2 minutes a doe came running full bore across the corn field like a greyhound. Another doe running same speed came a couple of seconds later. Then he appears. A sure chase was in place. He ran across the corn field and entered an adjacent pasture next to another Pine thicket on our neighbors land. He stopped and pose broad side and I got him in the cross hairs. He was a dandy. 135-145 inch buck. No, I did not attempt the shot since he was on the other property and frankly i don't practice at 300 yards. No doubt they came from our property so I'll set up tomorrow morning in a blind on the fence row that separates our property. Stay tuned later this week and maybe I will have a picture.

According to the Solunar theory, the full moon and the new moon are the best times to hunt and fish. Peak time on Wednesday is 12:45pm with a major period from 11:15am to 2:15pm. Be there or be square!

Well I sat in the blind from 1:30 to 5:20 pm and did saw the grand total of 2 squirrels and one field rat. Have to admit I was stunned. There are normally does on this corn every evening. oh well, that is deer hunting for you.

I some portion of every single day of all seasons. Have done so for many years. In my experience, full moon sucks. sightings go way down and when I see deer the evenings are generally better and hunting at midday does not seem to help.

I went yesterday morning and seen 5 does at 0830 killed one. I left shortly after that put the deer seemed to be moving good even with the full moon.
