Very nice! I've never tried it.....I've only ever eaten one worth choking down.

There are so many different varieties that I've found it hard to say what I do and don't like when it comes to king cake.

We get several sent to us this time of the year from vendors in Louisiana. There's always one that's really mediocre, and one that's really good, and some that are just decent.

Never baked one, but my wife is from NOLA so we've ate a few over the years. She is of the opinion that the best from the Big Easy come from Randazzo's. I remember one from their that was extra moist, which I really liked. Here's the link. https://www.randazzokingcake.com/

Randazzo's is definately very good. I just recently found another bakery that makes one just as good. I think they bought the recipe from the Randazzo family.

Gambino's is another bakery wo makes good king cakes.

King Cakes are like french bread. I only eat them if they are from certain bakers.
