I'm carrying my two youngest boys they are 13 and 10 years old. They are pumped up and ready to go. Both of them have been helping me run cameras, plant food plots, clear out shooting lanes and get stands ready. I hope there hard work pays off.

Yep, I was planning on hunting south Cherokee muzzleloader hunt and just found out from this thread I'm supposed to be taking the kids on the Juvy hunt! Thanks for the reminder they would have killed me if they missed it!

My 8 Yo son for the first time. He is exited to say the least. Although he has been practicing quite a bit the 100 yard mark I was hoping for is going to have to scale back to 50 or so but that's ok. The worst buck fever I have ever experienced was when I took the 12 yo neighbor girl several years ago and three doe stepped out in range. Thought I was going to shake out of the tree. Hope I can keep it together for my son lol

You won't!!! haha I experienced it last Saturday when my son shot his first deer...it was a doe and I was shaking SO bad. I've never lost feeling in my legs after shooting a deer of my own but I sure did after he shot his doe.

I'll be taking my son Saturday morning and evening. We have worked hard over the past couple months as well. We have a small micro plot and blind set-up. He's helped me till, plant, and fertilize the plot. He's helped me cut brush away for a clear shooting lane. He's helped me check the camera over and over again. Hopefully it will all work out so he can learn that hard work can pay off!

I will be taking my 9 year old. His first ever hunt was Yuchi a few weeks ago. No luck there so maybe this weekend. We bought some land this summer and have made him a place with a small food plot and a ladder stand about 10 feet high maybe. I am so hoping that he will kill the first deer from our own land.

Taking both boys. 10 and 15 yr olds. Jack my 15 yr old has got a nice buck with bow already so he's kinda putting little brother in spot light this weekend. Pic of Jack bow buck.

Good on ya bro. Bringing up the next generation of hunters is the most important thing we can do. Good luck to your little man. Can't wait to see his hand on a big stud (or doe) with a big'ol smile.
