Buddy put a nice shot on this gobbler that's been giving us the slip the last 2 years. His first bird!

I can't recall seeing tips like this on an eastern? He could pass as a Rio! Anyone else?

Yeah the thing that amazed me is the secondary feathers tips. They are not even really copper and have white tips also?

I also killed this one in Rutherford co. I can't find the original kill pic though...it was the first tail fan mount I made and I didn't keep enough of the inner tail feathers but they were the same color on the tips as well.

Cool and interesting that tree ghost killed his in the same county.
I was more curious if it was a TN bird or somewhere else where Rios and Easterns can overlap.

This is what I noticed. I've seen a handful like that over the years. The two I've witnessed dead both weighed 26-27 pounds too.
