Hey guys, I've been thinking about going to white oak durning the archery season but I've never been there before, a guy at work said they have some decent bucks there and I'd like a shot at something decent. I'm not looking for your honey hole or favorite spots, just looking for guidance. Are there decent bucks there? I'm might go during the 2 week gun season but I'm not sure, not a big fan of public land during gun season. Are there certain areas there i should avoid? Thanks guys

I use to pic up a few sheds there every year when I lived nearby but never anything big. I will say I know for sure there have been some 150" deer on it, but I never actually tried hunting it as I imagine they spend most of their time on the private land nearby

It holds a few big deer for sure, but the deer density is much lower than it used to be. Seeing a deer every hunt is far from a guarantee. Best opportunity at a big one would have probably include a boat or kayak to access some hard to get to spots.

Watch out for the trophy cottonmouths....they are everywhere until it cools off.
