took the chance during my lunch hour to shoot a little again today. t/c black diamond with 22.5 in bbl, accurate as heck with 777 loose, so i decided to use it to shoot the white hots in.
the best i shoot this rifle is 1.25-1.5 groups consistently. today with the white hots that shrunk to 11/16" but ill call it .75". i did clean up between shots, BUT i forgot my patches and only had 4 patches in my box so i had to use 1 dry and reuse the moist ones. i even held the pellets in my hand a few minutes to see if a little moisture would cause a misfire, positive ignition every time with 777 209 primers.
compared to 777 loose, a lot less fouling. it seems to only foul where the pellets sit, BUT it is nothing near as dirty as 777. i havent tried it yet but i would bet you could get off 3 or 4 shots without swabbing. i did not smell hardly anything after the shot, does not have a bad odor at all.
all in all, from this gun, they appear to have distinct advantages over 777. maybe a little more cost per shot, but cleaner and more consistent than 777.
