Food Plots White clover

Is it best to plant white clover by its self? Or mix it white winter wheat?and is April to late to plant clover? Thanks

I think it's always better to plant a mix compared to a single plant. You increase the attractiveness to deer by having more than one plant in your plot plus each different plant will thrive at different times and conditions. I'd get one of the Whitetail Institute mixes with their clovers if it were me. April is pushing it for clover.

I've always had better luck with clover in fall with nmower other crops. It really comes on in the spring.
