Smokeless
I have a h&r converstion and it shoots a 1 inch group at 100yds. Probably could get it to tighten up more if I was to knurl the bullet and tweak the powder charge some but I'm happy as is. With that said I would of had a stainless stalker if I could have found one when I was looking. They are just a better looking gun. Not sure if the performance is any better.

I've built 3 Handi Rifles (2 stainless Ultra Hunters and a 22" blued model) all 3 shoot good without having to knurl. They are fairly inexpensive (if you don't go with the Ultra Hunter) and for the total cost to build one, I think it's the best bet for the money.

The only negative thing I have to say about them is the limited scope mounting options. Unless you bob the hammer, you're pretty much stuck with having to use medium to high mounts. But it gives you plenty of room to go with a 50 mm scope.

I guess I kind of went sideways,I found a barrel for my Prohunter and it was a little cheaper than the other two.Hope I didn't make a mistake but have heard a few folks on here speak well of the Encore's.Will probably keep a eye out for a stainless NEF.
