I have a Tru Glo 5 pins on my protec bow and I tried to sight it but the guides for the pins are plastic and they move after you screw them in. It isn't a problem except for I couldn't set a zero or 10 yard pin for shooting under my tree stand.
I didn't mind really 12 yard is a good short pin, except I got nervous about what would happen if a tree limb bumped it While I'm hunting.

I thought it might get a spot Hogg but the price is too high for me. I'm not a competition shotter and I'm not a master level bow shooter. Any recommendations on a sight?

I like 4 or 5 pin.

Re: which bow site

I am using a Copper John 3 pin. Easy enough to buy an extra pin and add one or two. The 3 is enough for me, set at 20-30-40 and I rarely have a shot over 30 anyhow.

Re: which bow site

Anyone else worry that the plastic pin supports will break?

Any recommendations on a good sight for hunting?

I would not take the chance of having a plastic part on my bow site. I bought a site for my wife a couple of years ago extreme archery viper 4 pin. It's a tough little site with tooless dovetail adjustments. They retail around $100 and I paid $45 new on eBay. Whatever you choose I would make sure there's no plastic on it!!!

not sure how much you want to spend but ACCELL makes very well made sights with all metal and single separate pin micro adjustments and you can order them how you want them...color and size of pin and how many pins etc...but they are 200 and up depending on what you want....
