Ok, so I'm not from around here and am looking for a great place to hunt.
I'm a flat lander from Delaware, so go easy on me...lol
I live in Knoxville hoping to find something within an hours drive or so.
Went to Forks of the River today, but to many people.
Any suggestions?

Buffalo Springs in Grainger County is close. If you have a boat theres about 1500 acres on Douglas Lake. If you take 412 exit from 40 turn right. When you get to Hwy 139 you can see the west end of the island.

Get on the TWRA website and look at the WMA maps. You are within an hour of Mount Roosevelt and a couple of other WMAs. Also, there is TVA land open on Norris lake.

If you got a 4x4 truck or 4 wheeler then The North Cumberland, off of 141 exit, Royal blue is part of it. I hunted it and saw a few deer,a lot of big deers have been brought off of it. Also Big South Fork. Good luck
