When to spray

I've got a small clearing,was an old logging landing that I think im gonna try to plant something in this spring.Im gonna go in and bushhog it down here in the next few days,and then clean the sticks and roots up in it.But not sure when to spray glysophate to kill everything in it? DO I need to wait until the stuff starts to green up in the spring,or is it ok to spray it now and stop it from ever greening up?

it has to be green and growing before glysophate will work so wait till spring

What ben b said. Round-Up only kills growing plants. Even plants gone dormant during a dry period will survive spraying with Round-Up.

Like other have said the plant needs to be in its growing stage for the plant to take in the glysophate and carry it to the roots. Also it is best to spray when the temp does not drop below 50 degrees for several days. The cooler the temp the slower the kill.
