When to cut oak Brush?

Alright lets hear it. When is the best time to cut oak limbs to brush our tn river blinds. I want to wait as long as I can to brush so I can worry a little less about copperheads and cotton mouths but don't want to have all the leaves fall off limbs if I cut em and leave em stacked. When should I brush?

Don't really matter when you brush but when you cut you need to brush, not stack and save.
It will hold the leaves but you will lose a bunch stacking then moving and brushing.

What he said, my advice do it while it's green weeks before it looks like it's going to turn. Make a day out of it, cut and haul to blind same day or at least the next. When you think you have enough, double it. Remember you can always cut holes out, can't add more when the leaves fall

We try to have our brush cut before frost. Leaves seem to stay on longer than if cut after.

Like they said, cut before frost and don't stack and save. Put the brush out when you cut it. If you brush too soon, you might have to add more before the opener.
