When all you can find is old sign?

Hunted/scouted all day yesterday saw 3 does cross the road while I was driving. In another place I found 2 scrapes that were not fresh hard to say how old with all the rain the night before. And in a new area 1 hour and 15 min walk from the truck I found a trail. What would you do?
