I planted about an acre of wheat and oats this evening in our river bottem. I know it's a little late but they just got the beans out will it do any good this late?

Probably if it gets some rain on it in the next week or two. Wheat and oats usually do good as Fall/Winter cover crops. It may take some time though. Maybe by gun season if the weather is mild.

Right now, the forecast is for very mild (above average) temperatures throughout most of MZ season (once we get through the very below average cold snap we are forecast to have the week leading up to MZ season), so it should grow fairly quickly.

With this rain coming through and the warmer weather forcasted for the next couple weeks I think you should be ok.

That's what I was hoping for. I would have liked to had it out about 3 or 4 weeks ago but I had to wait for them to get the beans out.
