What's wrong with this deer?

Old age? Sick? Both? It has no hair on its legs and looks like knots on its knees. Not to mention it's jacked up face! I'm leaning towards both as the body of the deer makes me believe it's an old deer. Thoughts?

I'd say just sick but may be getting better. The hair loss is a sign of high fever and I'd say she injured her knee trying to get up when she was sick. She looks young to me though her head appears short to me.

Looks like she's lost all the hair on her lower legs too. Other than the hair loss though she seems healthy. Hopefully she makes a full recovery.

Alopecia and rheumatoid arthritis? I'm full of knots and have more hair in my ears than on my head. She's old like me.

Can't judge age by length of face at least not by a photo, could be sick of something, I don't know. No way to tell really. But I would say she does look old, the chest hangs well below the front elbows and there is some sway to the back with more bony looking shoulders. If a deer looks like gravity has taken a toll, I'd guess it's pretty old.
