Probably extremely small since most, if not all, of the powder burns in the barrel. The heated gases won't linger long enough to heat the dry fuels to their flashpoint.
 
I guess if you were buried in a leaf pile while shooting there may be a 1% chance...
 
Any of you ever see a round ball patch laying on the ground smoldering after you shot it. Think it might be possible with a round ball patch.

100% cotton patch, proper patch/ball fit and the right lube....no problem.
 
As a flintlock shooter photos like this do make me just a tad thoughtful. Never in 43 years of shooting black powder have i ever seen a fire started by a shot.
