What's the best duck call?

What's yall's opinions on the best duck call at the high and low price ranges?

Low end, I like Primos Wench...for me, this works well on open water, field hunting, or in the timber...

High end, is too expensive to take hunting much, but I have a Cache River Duckall (I think that is the name of it) in African Blackwood that is a Gadwall getter!!!

I'd say Duck commander or Primos on the low end. High end would be JJ Lares.

The "best" is which ever you can run better.Like comparing Ford to Chevy. I've got an old DR 85 that has probably killed more ducks than any of the Lares or Grounds calls on my lanyard put together...but they will all kill.

Guy I have hunted with on Reelfoot uses an original Johnny Marsh. It may not be the loudest, but sounds awfully sweet.

Funny how things vary from area to area. I probably only know 2 guys that can flat killem with a DC, but the DR85 is a staple to some of the best killers I know. Doesn't matter what it is if you can't blow it though.

I'm talking duck killers! I'm talking about people that really know how to call and will kill ducks on the days nobody else is killing. Not people that kill 8 or 10 every weekend.

I guarantee that a DR-85 has put more ducks down in the last 15 years than any other call made.If you cant make it squeal I understand if you go buy a 100 dollar call Ha Ha.

I never was any good on a DR-85, but I used to hunt with 2 guys on occasion that called with them. Not only were they the best meat callers/ duck killers I've ever seen, it was flat magical to watch them team up on those 85's and make ducks do whatever they wanted.

You have to make them squeal by somewhat spittin in them.They are tough to master but once you get it there is none better.

Love my BGC Spit Fire. Got an acrylic and a diamond wood. They just WILL NOT LOCK UP! You can dip them in water and they still run.

I'd love to run a Lares. I don't buy a call unless I can run it first. I hear alot of good things but always been skeered of buying any kind of call online.

I'm just startin to learn .However, you are always imho going to have guys dispute single or double reed calls. True it's also the calls operator that makes the call sound ducky. i like the ease & sound that comes out of the DC Picker for a low end call. their brown sugar wants to lockup :-( . RNT makes a good call also Field Proven calls. plenty youtube instructional videos for that maker. he used to be with Zink calls.
