I think that is illegal..Better check with the TWRA guys here first. But im pretty sure I seen where they told another member it was illegal to relocate a opposom.

i understand.

he doesnt want to shoot it off his porch. he does not want to harm a racoon. he wants to relocate it.

Honey Bun,cat food, piece of raw chicken.Any of these will do the trick. They especially like Honey Buns.Like Chief said above I've got a blue dog that will help with the population!

I have never eaten coon before. Anyone here have any tips on cooking? Do you have to boil them like you do mature squirrels to tender up the meat a bit?

Fellar I work with asked me to bring him a young one when season comes in and he will BBQ it.He say's they are good if you fix them right. He can BBQ about anything, but I told him I'd probably pass on the BBQ coon.

Break some corn off the stalk, and hang it in your cage with some peanut butter.

Better watch what you put in there, pole cats like alot of the stuff that coons do.

try potted meat i found they really love that stuff i take and trapp them every time i get a chance in a live trap and just to be catching something and they will tare the potted meat can up where they ain't nothing left of it lol so give that a try and see what happens

I've caught hundreds. Vanilla wafers or marshmallows work great. Fewer skunks caught also. If the area is in the rabies zone then the raccoon needs to be taken to a USDA freezer for rabies testing. Call your Regional Office they should be able to help with that.

Sardines #1 ,candy works good also, good use for all the halloween crap the kids bring home.
