What the ham sammich?

Decided to try a new body of water this morning and see what I could come up with. Well. This ain't no crappie. I had another one on that was quite a bit bigger than this one and it cut or broke my line as I was fumbling with the net. Hum. Gonna have to go back there and spend some more time. I don't catch these often and it's almost always by accident. But this one was 4 lbs and went to the fillet board!!

Pulling crankbaits. One of my paint job Bandits I repurposed.

Don't eat that! They are awful. I strongly urge everyone to bring me any Walleye caught so I can dispose of them properly.

Congratulations! The walleye is the only fish that I have ever hunted to catch with the sole intention for the opportunity. I don't want to ever live above the Ohio River, again, regardless of the bigger bucks......but I would go on a sabbatical to catch a good one. It's probably why I love the "Grumpy Old Men" movie, I know that we have them(walleye) here but those northern brothers know we have 2 lb crappie, too.
