Smokeless What ring height is needed...

For a Savage mlII and a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40? I have a Nikon pro staff 3-9x40 in DNZ medium mounts on it now, but am curious if these will be high enough for the larger ocular bell of the Zeiss?

Idk, but a simple check with the new scope will tell you pretty quick. I'm thinking you don't need the high rings until you get to 50mm.

You should have plenty of room. I had a 3-9x50 Minox in a set of Medium DNZs on my MLII and everything cleared (barely lol).

Thanks for the responses. I had to get med-high rings for my 116 to use the Conquest due to the large ocular (not objective) lense obstructing bolt travel, but it was with standard Weaver rings and bases.
