What Release You Using?

Looking to upgrade and was curious what everyone liked. Might help me narrow my list a bit. Thanks!

truefire Edge fold back. I like it pretty well but the wrist strap is very long, i almost have to put another hole in it to get it small enough. I guess they thought most people using them would have a wrist the size of a tree trunk.

it is a very nice release though and the fold back feature is very useful.

I shoot a Carter Like Mike. It has spring sears like a target release. You can adjust the trigger to have virtually no travel. It breaks very clean. You can set the trigger tension light or heavy.

New for this year I am shooting a Scott Wolverine. It is a buckle style instead of the older velcro one I was using. So far I like it.

I'm really in between using my very old buckle-strap tru-ball trigger, or my absolute 360 thumb release that I set off with back tension or thumb.

Scott Rhino XT. I love the single sear design so it's not too light for me to use proper back tension to execute the shot. I've also grown to love the open hook jaw for ease of hook up on the loop.

I shot with my thumb trigger last year , but I am now commited to hinge only for everything . I shooting with a click so I draw anchor to the click and then start my shot . If I switched releases every hunting season , I would never be able to keep my shot process the same .

I used to be concerned that if I put down the hinge I would forget how to use it lol

I only shoot my wrist release maybe 3-5 times max each session. Everything else is with the hinge (~50 arrows a day). I've discovered my original concern was unfounded. Mixing in a few shots with the wrist strap has no impact on my hinge routine.

I shoot with a click as well.

I can shoot my thumb trigger with back tension , as well asy wrist strap . But since my subconscious is trained shooting a hinge , that is what I will fall back on when it counts . If I took an index finger release in the woods I would have to think about the execution of the release vs. aim aim aim aim aim aim aim ......

I've been through several releases and this one by far is my favorite. It folds back so it's not in the way and you can always have it on. The buckle strap on it is comfortable too. Been shooting with it for over a year and I've never had the hook slip off the loop. You also don't have to look at the loop when attaching you can keep your eye on the deer. I'd recommend it, don't think you'd be disappointed.
