I have a centerpoint sniper 370 and love it. No problem hitting anything within 50 yards. It was only $250 at dunhams before bow season. You will need a high quality target to stop the bolts though.

I've been looking at that one the most! It seems like a great price for such a fast bow. Did you have to get new arrows or scope as I've heard the ones that come with it arent terrific? I'm hoping someone has another sale on them soon so I'm trying to be patient. What kind of target do you use?
 
I have not had one problem with the scope, of course I am not a scope expert or anything, but it does all I need it to do. The arrows I broke right off the bat trying to find a target to shoot them into. I finally got a Delta Mckenzie bag rated for 400fps and it works perfect, 2 fingers is all it takes to get the bolts out. I just buy whatever bolts walmart has on sale and they work fine. It is one fast crossbow.
 
This is a great deal if he's close enough to you. I have a Wicked Ridge Warrior, step down from this model but without all these upgrades, and 2 years 3 deer in I love it, no problems. I wouldn't think twice about buying Wicked Ridge again. You can buy a lot more expensive bows but these little Ten Point entry levels xbows are super accurate. Only gripe is that it's a little loud, but so far the deer haven't complained...then again, they were dead.

another vote for SNIPER 370. I bought one 2 months ago and love it. The scope has given me zero problems this far. The bolts are cheap and you might as well figure in buying new ones, they aren't very accurate. I found a crossbow target at tractor supply that does great for about 35 bucks. Unless you just have bunches of money to sink into the big name brands, I think the 370 is the best thing going. Awesome reviews across the board for the most part. good luck and enjoy!
 
Wicked ridge are very accurate! I own one got it dialed in and out to 50 yards it will hit a quarter .littery. They are loud but I put Bo jax dampner system on it .but any thing that flies 330 is a little loud

I bought my son the Barnett recruit package and it has been a great bow for him and then I bought two more the Barnett FX 2 package and then the Barnett Whitetail package and all three bows are exceptional shooters for the $ also the scopes are really good that come with the ones I've got
 
New purchase, Sniper 370 is a budget xbow with great reviews. I have a PSE Fang 350. I had to upgrade the scope and bolts. I think it's mentioned above, but there is a great xbow in the classifieds. Somebody may be able to transport it for you guys and save shipping costs.
 
I had a Wicked Ridge Warrior and really liked it. Very accurate and light weight.

I sold it last year and bought a Barnett Raptor. My main reason was because how much more compact it is than the Warrior was. It has been great also and have a target up to 100 yards.
 
I have an excalibur grizzly and am very pleased. Very accurate and with it being a recurve it is easy to deal with, you can easily change the string yourself and that is pretty much all the maintenance needed on it. This is why I went with an excalibur crossbow after weighing other options.
 
The Excalibur's are not cheap but you never have to worry about them. Lifetime warranty and you can change out the string yourself in just a couple of minutes. You can decock them at the end of the hunt without having to fire a dummy bolt.
 
If price isn't an issue go with Excalibur or Ten Point. If you want to stay economical you can't beat a wicked Ridge. I have a carbon express which has also be nice but a little loud.

I have owned a Excalibur crossbow for several years and I love it,very accurate bow :super:
