As some of y`all know I usually hit the fishin pier on my way to Oak Ridge in the evenings. Wal, I did so yesterday evening. Got there about 7pm and there was a Daddy with his son and daughter there. I asked if they had any luck and he said he was just letting the kids practice casting lures. I told him the kids had good lures tied on and to wait and watch for the bait fish and that the white bass would be with them. As short time later I cast into what I saw as a break and caught one. I told the kids to cast where I had cast. I spent the rest of the evening helping Daddy take fish off the kids lines. I assure you I was happier than the kids. All fish were released.

At one time this park area and the piers were getting rough. Drugs,prostitution,pickle park you name it. Enough people got upset enough that along with law enforcement we took it back. Good people don`t have to sit idly by and let the bad elements ruin a good thing.

Sounds like fun, Melton Hill is a great place to take a kid right now as the White bass as well as Largemouth are really schooling good in the bait and you can literally catch one after the other early and late in the day.
