My neighbor plowed up a couple of acres on his place this weekend. The plowed spot is located on a high spot in a pasture right where 2 creeks Y together. I bet I could have filled a bucket with grey colored flint chips. As for points, all I found were several broken bases and this odd shaped piece of rock that I cant figure out what the heck it is.. Looks like the plow got it a time or 2 over the years but it doesn't look natural to me.. especially with the notched out slot in one end of it.. Any ideas?

Flint piles are huge starting points for finding "more"................that is where they napped them out! That odd shaped piece is "special"..............would love to know more about it............very unusual.

Does that rectangular hole go all the way through end-to-end? If it does it could be a hole for a steel reinforcing ring to hold a wheel weight together on some old farm machinery. Possibly a weight for the rear wheel of an old disc plow?? That hole looks too uniform in the picture to be hand made.
