Squirrel or rabbit.

90% of the time I get pictures of a bobcat with something in its mouth (and I get a lot of those), it's got a squirrel.

Did you know you can't pursue bobcats with dogs in TN? Another ignorant game law. We treed two last year and I got my dogs off the tree and let em go.

Coyotes are legal year round, bobcats are not there is a set season on them. That said, in a self defense situation you could shoot either according to the regs. You have to be in imminent danger to shoot a cat out of season and you have to report it.

I can't imagine that scenario. Closest I've come is having a bobcat come to a call and it ran like hell when it realized I wasn't a turkey. Attacks are a nearly non-existant scenario.

Attacks are rare but they happen, and most of the time it is either 1) a rabid bobcat, or 2) at turkey hunter calling.

and that would be solely bobcat. Yotes always stop earlier. My point was simply that it's not something to worry about. It's like being scared of snakes. I'm more scared of ticks and desensitized half tame bears than any other critters.
