What is creole mustard?

It's a New Orleans type of mustard, it is a coarse, stone ground mustard and has a vibrant flavor . Zatarain's makes it.

Most grocers carry the Zatarain's now a days but if yours does not then look for anything that says whole grain, course grain, or stone ground mustard.

Oh, I've got plenty of stone ground and coarse grain mustard. I have no shortage of mustards - probably 8 different kinds in my fridge now. I thought creole mustard would have some flavors added to it.

Speaking of creole - where is bowriter?

Just shake a little Tony Chachere's on your potato salad

Be careful, Bowriter might take offense to being called creole.

I've never really done a side by side comparison but they seem to taste about the same to me. You could throw in a little tabasco if you want.
