Just remember that GPS on a smartphone requires a data signal. If you hunt in an area with good 3G or 4G coverage you should be fine. If you hunt in rural areas or down in deep hollows under a thick canopy, you might not have GPS when you need it. Bottom line, test it out before you depend on it to get you back to your truck after dark.
