I can't tell for sure, but maybe some lead fouling? And, is that a shaving up top?

The lands appear to not be even/begin at a different place IF the camera mirror is square to the bore.
I have used my modified case for measuring freebore to line up a projectile, tap it into the lands, tap it out from the muzzle end and look at the now engraved bullet to see if there's any noticeable difference. Gonna use my Comparator tool as a holder and draw a fine line around the bullet where it seats in the comparator so I can have a visual reference. All this probably for nothing but it beats mowing the yard while it's 97 degrees

So, my not so scientific but highly redneck sophisticated inspection after the reference line was made reveals there appears to be a different point along the length of the bullet where 3 lands engraved vs where the other 3 engraved. This is exactly what I see with the borescope. I don't know how this could even be possible. It's impossible for me to capture this in a picture but these pics below show what I did to arrive at my conclusion. Over the weekend I'll have time to shoot it and that is THE ultimate test.
If they're evenly spaced and each 3 start at the same place, shouldn't be an issue I'm thinking. But I'm also thinking what you're thinking, about how in the world that could even be machined?

Oh, in that case, could the chamber be off centered from the bore? Really shouldn't even be a chance of that happening, with the reamer supposedly following the center bore tho, but that sounds like something isn't perfectly straight.

With a floating reamer I don't see how either, even if the barrel was cocked a little sideways in the lathe during the reaming process, but a solid held reamer could possibly cut off to the side like that. But it's almost as if someone would have had to actually try to do that tho, or not to competent in their work.

Factory Remington. We have 2 others factory rifles identical to this one but I have not scoped the barrel/chamber in decades.
There's no telling how many chambers that reamer had cut or how worn the button was Whalen it was rifled. It probably will still shoot just fine though.
