AMP is taking over managing the leasing of our timber company property this year. The price went up significantly. Does anyone else lease land managed by AMP? What have been your experiences?

I dealt with AMP for 6 years and never had a problem or a huge increase. When I wanted to plant food plots they were easy to deal with. As long as I didn't cut trees and used existing clearings they were cool. A lot of folks complain about them but I don't recall having issues. The property I lease just sold and I'm dealing with a new company now.

The initial year after they take over you will see the price hike. After that it stays pretty consistent. They are pretty high in price, but easy to deal with in my experience.

Took our lease from $5.50 to $9.40 in 4 years. If it wasn't for my relationship with actual landowner I'd never know when cutting was going to happen. It'll go up every year until they get it to what the market will bear.
