What Do You Call A Unisex Deer?

My son did some HVAC work for a older character today and called to tell me a couple of his stories. It seems last year he killed an 8 pointer in Walls Ms last year. When he went to field dress him he discovered not only did he have testicles and a fishing rod he/it also had a milk sack and was lactating. There were a couple other people there where he was doing the work that witnessed this. Anyone ever heard of a deer like that?

One of his other tales was that he has a pen with chickens and a gobbler and hen turkey in it. He said the wild gobblers keep attacking his penned gobbler trying to get to his hen. He set up in his chicken pen and killed his first gobbler of the year.

Last but not least my son said in his yard he has 2 massive magnolia trees. He said both have hollowed out centers and that years ago this guy put a railroad tie in each tree and then filled in around it with concrete to keep them standing and they have done just fine since he did it. I never heard of that but see where it might preserve the tree from heavy winded storms.

He has a lake behind his house and I'm hearing he has some great bullfrog stories as well. I might have to meet this guy, lol.

As a good story should, all of those have just enough believable parts to lead you into the "over the top" parts so that you find yourself trying to to sort the fact from fiction.

I find the most believable the one about the turkey, but I suspect some embellishment.

Certainly there are antlered does, and maybe he shot one. But testicles, milk bag and lactating, but no mention of any girl parts? Doubtful.

(And now ten prople will post and say it happened to them. :-) )

I work with a former butcher, said he's seen a few deer thru the years with both parts.


I've also heard stories of hollow trees filled with concrete but haven't seen it. I have seen a huge tree that was split. Someone took some square plates and what looked like all thread and bolted both sides together.

I have seen one trunk filled with concrete, but it was dead.

I have seen LOTS of big knotholes in trees filled with concrete. Around Salinas and south in California they have some very large trees the bark peels and is very light in color. The leafs are huge-12 inches across is not unusual and I would swear they were maple leafs. When one of the big limbs is ripped off and a hole develops someone cements it closed.

I do not see how a tree could survive the concrete treatment. Portland cement is HOT. Lime cement is weak.
