Hot pink is for sure the most "stick out like a sore thumb" color that I've seen. I use to shoot all white and I fletched some arrows up for my wife with two whites and a hot pink. She sailed one over the target and I went to look for her arrow...in which I spotted REALLY easy from about 25 yards away. I had a light bulb moment and when I hunted deer, that's what color my fletching was for myself.
The florescent yellow/oranges and all those colors look sharp on the arrows out side of nature. But in the fall of the year...guess what colors the leaves and under growth are turning? They are turning all shades of oranges/chartuese/florescent yellowish colors. There are even the red ones too...how many times have you been blood trailing and thought you seen blood and it was just a spot on a leaf where it had turned red? I had tried the orange/white and white/florescent yellow/green colors. But I eventually found that just plain white worked better...and I shot that for many years until I discovered the hot pink and white combo. My target arrows right now are black and bright/flo orange. They look good in the target but if I send one over or under the target, it is as good as gone unless I get real lucky. I was doing some long range shooting the other day and missed my Rhinoblock @ 85 yards a couple of times and I still haven't found those arrows. Orange/black blends in pretty good for some reason.
