Perfect day for planting trees, got 40 Chinese chestnut and 40 sawtooth in the ground today, along with about 75 Virginia pine. So glad for the tractor and auger!

I cut beeches for about 4hrs today! Wiped out entire 4-5 acre ridge! So much more to be done but the other areas are getting timber cut in a few weeks so I'll wait till they get started and go back behind them to take out the rest.

Well I hadn't planned much deer-wise, but I decided to spend the afternoon in deer thicket, checked and moved trail cam, found a nice buck skull, and started cutting a clearing to put a trophy rock in and used the cut saplings to start building a ground blind for bowhunting.
