What age can u leave a young hunter alone..

At what age can you leave a young hunter alone in a box blind during the regular season. Any help with this would be appreciated. I think its 16 the way it reads but wanted to make sure.

I am 15 and i have been told that its 16 with a gun by your self but i think its different for bow/x-bow

i would think it would have to be a judgement call on your part depending on how you feel about leaving them alone with a weapon based upon their experience/knowledge of hunting and handling guns. Though i believe they have to be 16 before they are legally allowed to sit alone while hunting.

Hunter safety is required, and I believe that you have to be 10 for that.

I'm putting it off long as possible. My boy is 13 and I figure he's got the rest of his life to hunt alone. I want to share that time with him as long as possible!

i do enjoy hunting with my kids very much. He had a friend spend the night last night and was going to put him in my box blind but decided that we would all hunt from my our ground blind ( my son has a fear of heights ). But I'm very proud to say that opening day on this year on his very first hunt he shot a nice 5 pointer with a broken eye guard !!!!! soon as i learn how to post pics i will proudly post it !!
