What an awesome week it has been! A cold front came in on Sunday and brought some much needed rain and cooler temps. When the rain quit on Monday I got in one of my best stands feeling very optimistic. At 6:20, one of my hit list bucks, a 4.5 year old 8 point made a mistake and it cost him. I went back to the farm on Friday looking to shoot a couple of does and get some work done on some of my plots. Yesterday afternoon was perfect and I shot a doe around 4:50 and decided to stay put and shoot another one. At 5:30 the bucks started pouring in and the last buck was another one of my hit listers, I a 5.5 year old 10 point. I put an arrow in him at 32 yards and filled my second tag. He ended up weighing 240 pounds and is my heaviest TN buck. Now it's time to get my boys on a mature buck and do a little hunting on my lease in IL. Good luck to all of you!

Man those are some dandies, I was just thinking the other week that I haven't seen you post and that you consistently shoot good deer. Congrats on the great season already

congrats on 2 fine bucks! 240lb TN deer are pretty special! I thought I recognized you on a FB pic earlier today.
here's to hoping you get your kids on some more great deer in a couple weeks!
