Got off work and REALLY needed to weed eat around my fence and the back yard.

Decided to take about 30 crickets to the pond by the house and try some bream instead. :D

Caught 18 and just quit and headed home to grill.

17 of them were eating size.

It was hard to throw them back but I did to protect them a bit.

I will take a mess or two in a week or so... or maybe Saturday afternoon. :D

Sure was fun.

Yeah I will take a few here before long, but I try not to take too many out of it.
I think it gets quite a bit of pressure from the other side of the neighborhood. ;)

Neighborhood lakes/ponds are a challenge to manage. I don't know about now, but in the past TWRA would come out in July to seine a pond for you. They seine it, let you know what they found, and discuss management with you. It's very helpful.

That would be cool WMAn. :)

I would LOVE to see what is in there.
Back a few years ago I used to catch 6+ pound bass out of it on a rather regular basis.

When the 5 gallon bucket brigade started coming on a regular basis that stopped.
In fact I haven't caught anything over 2 pounds there in a few years now. :(

Heaven forbid you are a bream and get caught over there too.
EVERY one of them goes in the bucket.

Oh well.
