Wettest Season?

I believe this has been the wettest deer season I have ever been through. I was just wondering how it affected everyone's hunting. Did you hunt less because of the rain or brave it with raingear or what. I hunted out of a shooting house a lot because of the rain, but I bypassed some good areas because I didn't want to sit a stand in rain gear in the stand. The one thing I think it affected was bigger buck sightings because I think they stayed in thicker cover and didn't move as much during the heavier rain. How about you guys.

Wettest season I have seen here in 18 years. I hunted my off days in rain, or cloudy weather.

Not a whole lot of sun during the season. Bow was not to bad weather but went down hill from there.

I hunted more despite the rain, I am very glad the season is over.

I think my little town was about 0.5" inches shy of a record since it's been recorded anyway.

Half of my place is a creek bottom and floods in heavy rains. I didn't get to hunt past thanksgiving weekend because my place has literally been under water every weekend since then. I've got some high ground but if the bottom is flooded, they just don't come through.

I haven't been able to get into the plot I'm hunting now since 1st week of December since u have to cross a creek to get to it. Creek was down to 18in deep of fairly swift water today... a bit sketchy on the 4 wheeler, but I made it.

Ofc, we got 10.5in of rain in 15 hours a week ago in south MS. Add another 2 in last Thursday.

I was sitting in a folding chair in 3 inches of standing water last night :)

Definitely been wet here in SW TN. The areas I hunt have been rotten so to speak, since November. November ground conditions reminded me of December, and we've had plenty of rain in December to exacerbate the problem. Heaven forbid if we get some snow and a couple of weeks of freeze/thaw conditions.

I have not seen the statistics for west TN (hint hint bamaproud), but these totals are pretty impressive for middle TN.
