I've not been able to hunt the last couple of weeks, but I'm planning to hit it hard this weekend. I'm trying to decide between field edge near a cut bean fields and an oak thicket adjacent to cotton. Anyone in West TN got any recent updates on movement in the mornings?

Mornings have pretty much been acorns or bust for us in the mornings. We rarely ever see deer in our fields in the morning though. And I have no explanation as to why, because this is the only farm I've ever had that happen on.

Based on what I've seen, I'd be on an oak tree. There's literally piles of beans on the fields across the river, and there's minimal traffic into those fields.

I hunted white oak stand in NE Carroll County this morning... acorns were dropping, NW wind blowing cooler air, yet, I didn't see a deer. I need to find which oak area they are feeding in... nearly every where on my place has white oaks that have a large mast crop this fall.
