I was thinking about the CWD affecting western part of TN when I hunted Presidents Island this year. Has there ever been a positive case on Presidents Island?
Was that a stupid question or something? Has CWD on Presidents Island been discussed in another thread? If so, I guess I missed it. The buck I killed last year tested negative. Just wondering can you answer the question with a yes or no?Let it go.
You don't have to worry about it for another 14 yrs or so.Was that a stupid question or something? Has CWD on Presidents Island been discussed in another thread? If so, I guess I missed it. The buck I killed last year tested negative. Just wondering can you answer the question with a yes or no?
I have to ask what does it matter to you? You won't get drawn for a looonnnggg time again. But what if the answer is yes? Then what?Waiting on a yes or no answer, Richard?

I killed the first cwd positive deer in shelby county back in nov 2019. It was very close to the eastern border. Most cases are prevalent on the eastern side. One historical dot (bigger light blue circle) is relatively close to PI (southwest portion of Shelby County) but I cannot find the original yearly dot that ties that location to an actual positive in prior years, so I am suspect of a true CWD positive near PI. With that said, I suspect the sample size (# of deer submitted for testing per acre of PI) has been pretty low over last 5-7 years, for the 7,000 acres. I'd also expect the higher prevalence rates to be eastern Shelby county, near Fayette county, as the current map shows.

That is a good question. I will consult with you before I post another question. Why not ask TWRA instead of an internet forum?
Don't consult with me. Consult with someone that can give you the answer. That is a good question. I will consult with you before I post another question.
What did the letter say? Did it mention thermals?Even sent me a letter.
The twra is pretty broke currently. They definitely don't have snipers in a helicopter with thermals.I'm suprised the twra hasn't gone in with thermals and shwacked em. That's what they wanted to do everywhere else. Even sent me a letter.
Hasn't stopped them from buying everything else they want, one reason for being brokeThe twra is pretty broke currently. They definitely don't have snipers in a helicopter with thermals.
