We'll probably put out 4 dozen for teal season. Big duck season, we run 300 or so.

Yep, I dread it but our hole is huge and I believe we are gonna need it to compete with our neighbors.
My son had convinced me to sell all our decoys and downsize with big nice battleships and only have a few dozen but we decided we needed the circus this year. :D

We normally do pretty good with woodies and teal, but as you know it can be feast or famine from day to day.
Many times, it's just famine. :D

yea. we normally run 3-500, but to be honest, Im starting to downsize, due to more realistic looking. Im a firm believer you need lots of water motion with decoys. plus, when it freezes, its hard to make it look real, unless you mix in a lot of full bodies on the ice. we run 2 ice eaters everday for movement, a duck thang, 3 mallard machines, 5 hidgon kickers, 5 wonder ducks, butt duks, plus vortexs and robos. kinda different from when we used the old pull string. crazy to do all this to kill a duck. but I will tell you, it looks real.

The double ice eaters work awesome plus it keeps the water muddy! We've been experimenting with which keel gives the best real looking movements.
