Our lease has died, it's been kind of sickly all season but we have quit seeing deer so I might have to pull the plug, thing is I need two more deer to fill my freezer

My lease is 5 minutes from the house and I have hunted it 2 times. I really don't like to hunt late season but last year around the end of December we got pics of a few bucks we hadn't got on camera all year. Going to go in the morning and hope for the best.

Good luck filling the freezer.

This is the strangest year for us. Things went dead before muzzleloader even started. Complete failure of deer sightings. Does have even been hard to come by.

BSK...It's just hard to believe as involved as you are in deer hunting that you just completely quit by the end of November. Dig out a couple of those day time pics of mature bucks at scrapes in December and fire yourself up.

Oh, we still hunt right into early January, but deer sightings virtually cease post-November, and sightings of bucks over 2 1/2 absolutely do cease. While hunting, we've never seen a buck older than 2 1/2 post-November.

Hunting is without a doubt much tougher here in late Dec early Jan as well. These public tracts have been absolutely stomped to death and just to let the boys kill some does has required some thinking.
