Went turkey hunting for my first time this morning. I went by myself still have a lot to learn. Got there a little late and get out of the truck and I hear 3 gobble every time a crow calls. I start giving some soft yelps and have one gobbling back but he doesnt come slowly goes away. So I try to cut in front of him but he comes just out of range in some very thick stuff. I finally get a glimpse of him and he is with two hens and I couldnt get him away from them. Sitting there listening to him gobble just out of range was awesome. Had to leave for church wish I could have hung around a little longer but I am definately hooked
 
Yea man had one do the same thing to me yesterday. Nothin like hearing that big tom sound off to your call. I had a 6 jakes at 15 yards this morning, but didn't see any toms. Keep after em man and good luck!!
