Had luck in my side this weekend picking up some sheds! For size reference to put the matching set in perspective , the one in the middle of the 5 would be around 105" with matching sides and a 14" spread , the matching set had a 13" g2
60 yards maybe in a thick "blowdown" type area right at is transitions into an older pine thicketNice! How far apart were those 2 biggest matching ones? Looks to be the same deer.
Wow! That matching pair are amazing!
Absolutely, I shot this buck I had nicknamed "claws" early archery 2018 and unfortunately hit high shoulder , I actually had a long post about the heart break on here that fall. I managed to get a trail cam pic of him juvy weekend and never seen him again. These sheds have to be from that year due to being identical to all the pics, I just cant believe they aren't chewed up. And another note, I found them less than 75 yards from where I shot him as well. I have pics of him from 2017 and 2018 and I have no doubt he put on 40" of bone if not more which I also think is very uncommon. I taped these sheds at 143 3/8 gross which would put him at 160 with a 17" spread and he couldn't have been no more than 120" in 2017 an honestly more like 115". If you notice the 3rd pic the knot on the shoulder is about the height of where arrow entered on opposite side and broke off about 7" inside him when he ran.Nice!! Congrats!!
Matched set is a stud!!
Very cool. I'd be super stoked about going after him next year.60 yards maybe in a thick "blowdown" type area right at is transitions into an older pine thicket
