Pull up the MG that doesn't have weeds in the rootball.

If the MG has weeds, into the garbage it goes. Or, give to in-law or nosey neighbor.

Re-do the MG bed.

Re-plant the MG that doesn't have weeds.

You can also mow the MG and the weeds will come back faster than the MG and you can kill them then.

We have done both. I don't care for MG as an ornamental but my Wife really likes it. She digs them up, sections them (CHOP!!), replants. Must be ten or 15 sewing circle buddies have all their MG plants from my yard.

Would a broadleaf herbicide like 2,4-D work?

Speaking of weeds in your MG..If you plant Lilies and they go to seed, they will spread all over.

I have stella lilies that are that thick and that keeps the weeds from growing. I would have thought the MG would do the same.

How can you kill monkey grass?
I've sprayed it like crazy and it won't die.
