New at this but, did a little online research but still not sure what will give me the best bang for my buck. Whats the best weed killer for a green field? (tall fescue)

Thinking of using Trimec 899? I appreciate any input.

If your wanting to kill everything just use glyphosate. Get a generic roundup. Should be cheapest effective kill all. Unless you want something residual?

I have a really good stand of fescue already up Steven but the weeds are begining to take over

I see. Your wanting to keep the fescue then? If your wanting to keep the fescue but kill broadleaf weeds then 24D will give you the best bang for the buck.

I heard about a new spray the other day, that is better than 24D and has a good residual, but for the life of me, I cant remember what it was called. Im a lot of help aint I?? ha ha

Milestone maybe? Very pricey. But reccommend rates are in the ounces per acre.

I think that is right. The Residual factor might make it worth the extra cost. Correct me if Im wrong but isnt 24D just a "on contact" deal??

No,it will kill Bermuda,but arent we talking about food plots?Grasses are not generally part of food plots

isnt trimec using sethoxyidim?......only kills grasses....me thinks.
