What's your go to weather app?
I too am finding the weather channel to be wrong on the wind direction.I've just always used weather channel app and it's worked pretty good for precipitation but I would love to get better wind maps! Often times that's the most incorrect prediction. I can be in flat ag land with no major terrain or thermal influence and the wind direction will be opposite of the forecast.
The weather channel app drives me crazy. I don't like in the city I hunt. It'll pop up adds and then redirect me back to Columbus weatherI want a switch myself. Usually use AccuWeather, but the adds are really getting on my nerves. When I want to know the wind or rain or temps, I don't want to wait 15 seconds on a click-bait game preview.
Use weather underground as well, but not an app, I just have them in favorites on my browser.Weather Underground 10-day forecast for me. It's a chart that shows all conditions as they're going to happen so I can visualize the weather swings. They also have a similar chart to show historic weather for any day any place. That is invaluable for cross referencing with trail cam data.
In my experience no weather station gets accurate predictions every time. And wind is very tough because unless it's a sustained steady wind it will always shift and switch, even if it's being driven one general direction.
