Waxing strings

I need a refresher, but how often do y'all wax the strings. I have been doing it sparingly and removing excess with dental floss.

Whenever it needs it, no set schedule. I have noticed that aftermarket strings seem to stay conditioned longer than the factory strings I've had.

How often do you rotate your tires? ... it all depends on amount of wear ...
When applying the wax, take a piece of leather to work the wax into the string as opposed to just the surface of the string. You can't build up enough heat with your bear fingers.
