waterfowl \ deer hunting

I was talking to my friends today about the upcoming deer season. We all deer and duck hunt and the topic came up about hunting with pistols. Since we all have carry permits I was wondering about the legality of taking a deer with my carry gun while duck hunting. And before this is a use enough firepower for the task conversation I carry a 10mm 1911 with 180grn xtps at 1300 fps.

Unless you are hunting on your own property, you would have to be wearing 500 sq inches of blaze orange on upper body and head while doing the deer hunting. I'm guessing that wouldn't be very popular in the duck blind.
